Backyard Pods come with yellow tongue flooring as the standard inclusion. You’ll receive more than enough yellow tongue flooring to cover the floor area (integrated steel floor-framing) inside your Backyard Pod.

Yellow tongue flooring is extremely strong and durable. You can choose any type of floor covering such as floating timber floorboards, vinyl, carpet, etc.

If you don’t have a wet area inside your Backyard Pod, and you’re not in a bushfire-prone area, the included yellow tongue flooring is all you need.

If your building has a bathroom or you’re building in a bushfire-prone area, your approved plans and associated codes will specify any variation from standard Backyard Pod kit packages to comply with the relevant regulations.

Blueboard sheets are fireproof, waterproof, and rigid.

If you need to use all-blueboard flooring for your Backyard Pod, we can credit the value of yellow tongue flooring and you or your builder can purchase the blueboard locally. As blueboards contain concrete, the sheets are very heavy.
