Home office and sleepout hidden away on a bush block in the Blue Mountains

3m x 6m is the most popular pod size for backyard studios suitable for use as a home office with occasional guest accommodation when no plumbing is required. Our happy customers at Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains have taken stage-by-stage photographs of their Backyard Pod under construction. It’s great for everyone when customers share photographs to help others with their backyard studio building decisions.

The Backyard Pods flatpack building kit selected was 3m x 6m in Colorbond Ironstone, a deep grey colour that settles well into the surrounding bushland. Our customers sourced their own windows and doors locally, in preference to using Polar Eco-View flatpack double-glazing that we normally recommend. The foundation piers were supplied along with the building kit.

Construction to lockup was undertaken by an experienced pod builder in our network. Our customers decided to do the final internal fit-out and finishing touches by themselves as a DIY project.

Even the family dogs got involved in the construction work, whether a help or a hindrance, they add to the aesthetic appeal of construction photographs, as does the wine which is normally saved until the move-in-ready stage.

With Backyard Pods, you can make the entire construction a DIY project or have construction done to lockup or entirely completed for you. We assist customers in Sydney and regional NSW, Melbourne and regional VIC, Brisbane, Gold Coast and regional QLD (as far north as Bundaberg), and the ACT. You can talk to us about your preferences and consider all the available options before placing your order.
