While every Backyard Pod project begins with the flatpack building kit, it’s the choices made by our customers that determine the desirability of the completed result. Style-wise, this backyard studio guest cabin is a complete knock-out. Our customer in Chiswick, a bayside suburb in Sydney, got their architectural drawings done through our channels, got project approval themselves, and then made design decisions that really show everyone how deluxe a Backyard Pod can be.
The most outstanding feature of this particular Backyard Pod is the use of Bonville cladding – the square-profiled steel cladding in Colorbond colours that is only available in the Sydney metropolitan area and Central Coast at present. The Bonville cladding was used vertically for a very contemporary result.
Colorbond Basalt was chosen for the external walls, gutters and barges, while foundation piers were from our standard range. Our customer purchased windows elsewhere (we can provide lintels to suit the size of any openings in your design).
Intended as an extra bedroom suite or accommodation for guests, you can see the interior with a living area, bedroom, and modern bathroom with high-end fittings and finishes. Our customer had their own builder working with them on the internal fit-out.
