When building a granny flat, once all the decisions are made for the building size and layout, you should plan the interior storage requirements for your occupants to live comfortably and clutter-free.

As most granny flat occupants are downsizing, you should plan to install the largest built-in wardrobe that your granny flat bedroom will accommodate. You can also use vacuum bags to further compress blankets, clothing, and other soft items to be stored.
