Backyard studio with ensuite 3m x 6m nearing completion at Pennant Hills, Sydney NSW

The Backyard Pods flatpack building kit selected was 3m x 6m in Colorbond Jasper, a warm, earthy colour that looks cosy and inviting. Our customer opted for our Bonville (weatherboard-style) cladding in the horizontal format, with a Colorbond roof in Surf Mist, near-white. Gutters and barges are also in Colorbond Jasper, providing a smart contrast and delineation between the external walls and the roofline. There is an additional 1.5m-wide veranda, perfect for outdoor relaxation, with the underside in Colorbond Jasper. The windows and doors are Polar Eco-View flatpack double-glazing that we normally recommend – the window frame colour is black. On a near-level block, the 900mm foundation piers were supplied along with the building kit.

Construction to lockup was undertaken by an experienced pod builder in our network. Our customers decided to do the final internal fit-out and finishing touches at their own pace, using local tradespeople.
