This impressive example of our backyard studios is suitable for use as a home office or guest room with ensuite facilities. Our happy customer at Cherrybrook in Sydney has reached the lockup stage of construction, meaning the building is structurally complete and awaiting completion of the interior fit-out.
The Backyard Pods flatpack building kit selected was 3m x 7m in Colorbond Surfmist, a near-white colour that looks fresh and inviting. Our customer opted for our Bonville (weatherboard-style) cladding in the vertical format, with a Colorbond roof in Ironstone, a deep grey colour. Gutters and barges are also in Colorbond Ironstone, providing a smart contrast and delineation between the external walls and the roofline. The windows and doors are Polar Eco-View flatpack double-glazing that we normally recommend – the window frame colour is White Birch (off-white). On a level block, the 900mm foundation piers were supplied along with the building kit.
Construction to lockup was undertaken by an experienced pod builder in our network. Our customers decided to do the final internal fit-out and finishing touches at their own pace, using local tradespeople.
